Since winding up the rescue last Autumn I can now report that our six remaining pet piggies are doing great! Three boys and three girls - kept separately!
If any old friends and customers would like to provide a happy home to one or more of these piggies I am happy to let them go, free of any charge, to suitable loving homes.
Our circumstances have changed a great deal in recent months, meaning that we need to be much more mobile - sometimes at short notice - than we could be while we were running a pet rescue.
I look after our remaining piggies but they don't get much 1:1 time with me, which seems a shame. If interested, do let me know!
Thanks, PETE, Friday, 24th May, 2013
Following our decision, in September, to close the rescue we have been overwhelmed with support from both past and new customers and contacts, so that most of our guinea pigs, including some 'oldies but goodies' have now been rehomed.
Thanks very much to everyone for this - you all know who you are - give yourselves a big pat on the back!! You deserve it!
THE RESCUE IS NOW CLOSED and we are left with just our own pets, "Gandalf" and "Jesse".
If anyone wants to keep in touch with Pete on any subject to do with guinea pigs, or to provide information about any caring, accommodation, matching, rescuing, homing, advisory or other guinea pig services they offer, or are willing to offer, especially in the Sheffield and surrounding area, this would be great, as I don't want to disappear from the 'cavy caring' community altogether!
I've opened a new e-mail addres, firstname.lastname@example.org , for confidential, 1:1, correspondence from and with anyone, anywhere, so hope to keep in touch with 'Guineaworld' [versus 'Poundland'!], if only from my chair, as it were!
With best regards to all guinea pig lovers and carers out there!
